The 8th edition of the International Mining, Equipment, Minerals & Metals Exhibition (IME 2019) will gather over 350 exhibitors including country pavilions and foreign individual exhibitors from different parts of the world.
The 8th Asian Mining Congress will be organized in Kolkata at the same time hosting speakers and delegates from India and abroad. Over 600 delegates representing 20 countries are expected to participate in the Congress.
IME Kolkata is the final exhibition event in the calendar of Machines and Devices Promotion Promotion Programme operated by Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) over the 2017-2019 period. National stands promoting this sector of Polish economy have been organized during top sectoral events in Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, India and China.
Since several years machinery has been consistently 2nd in the rank, being tagged as the most important Polish product exported to the Indian market. In 2018, Polish exports of electrical machinery and equipment reached 68.7 million USD, which represents 8.9% of total Polish exports to India. In contrast, exports of mechanical machinery and devices in 2018 generated revenue of 142.7 million USD, achieving a 18.6% contribution to Polish exports to India.

National stand of Poland will be organized by Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Hall Red (stand no. B10). Two individual Polish companies will take part at IME Kolkata 2019 as exhibitors - ZAMEP (stand no. B03) and MDJ Electronic (stand no. B05).
On the second day of the exhibition (7th of November) a press briefing will be organized on Polish national stand for media and representatives of local business institutions. Potential and characteristics of Polish mining machinery and devices sector will be presented by expert, dr Marek Moroń - former Consul General of Poland in Mumbai.
IME 2019 will be held on November 6-9 in Eco Park Rajarhat (Kolkata, India).
